Black Kajal Eyeliner

Okay so this is the first Kohl Kajal liner that I have ever tried. I know that they are getting a little more popular as mass brands are starting to release them. They are meant for the waterline, and it is the darkest black out of the three liners in this kit. However if you have watery eyes, this bad boy doesn't last too long, I found it just ended up running and the outer corners of my eyes had to be touched up multiple times during the day.

Black Liquid Eyeliner

This liquid liner is very runny. I found that the black pigment in it isn't as black as I would like it. The actual length and package design makes it super easy to apply, as it fits very comfortably in the hand. It was very easy to create a cat eye effect. Since this is not waterproof I found that the liner faded and the cat eye part was pretty much gone after 8 hours of wear.

Black Automatic Eyeliner

I found this to have more of a grey colour to it. It applied very smoothly though, and it did last the best out of all three of the liners.

Overall Verdict

Cost: SRP$15.79CND
Where to buy: Most drugstores and mass retailers

Overall I was underwhelmed with these liners. I think it's biggest benefit is the cost. If you are new to liners, or don't require something super black, this may be a great option. For my personal use, I found that the pigment and staying power left me disappointed. If you break down the cost per liner, you are looking at $5.26/liner. This is a great price point and lets you play around to see the types of looks you can achieve with different types of liners. Would they be my go to liners..no. The packaging is great though, and it does come with a carrying case making them great for travel.

Sexy Booster Va Va Voom Volume Mascara *

Now I have reviewed this mascara in my Mascara Swatch Madness post. I still really like it, I did two coats and it left my lashes feeling very flexible and it lasted well for over 8 hours. It didn't clump, and it was easy to work with. The packaging is a little over the top, but that is what makes it fun! Overall this is a great mascara and a great price point.

Sexy Booster Oh So Sexy Eye Shadow Quad *

Cost: SRP$14.49CND

Now firstly, all of the products in this collection have a Vanilla and Musk smell. However I found the only one that you really smell it with is in this eye shadow quad. The smell is very light but really nice. The pigment in these shadows is impressive, the only one that I didn't love was the black. A cool fact about these is that you can use them wet and dry, so if you use the black wet it can work as a liner. It comes with a built in mirror and brush in the back which makes it great for travel. The shadows are super blend able, and have a satin finish. Overall it's a good palette and worth trying!

My Sexy Booster Look

With this eye look I used three of the shades from the eye shadow quad. Shade 2 all over the lid, shade 3 on the outer corner and shade 4 blended into shade 3 to add a little bit of depth. I used the kohl liner in my lash line (as you can see most of it faded minutes after application). I smudged the automatic liner into my lash line to ensure that the liquid liner was as black as I wanted, and the liquid liner over top and flicked out to create a small cat eye effect. On the lashes is 2 coats of the Va Va Voom Mascara.

Final Thoughts...

I think that this collection has very cheeky/sexy packaging. It really stands out on the vanity or in your makeup bag. I would skip the eyeliners, but pick up the mascara and the eyeshadow quad.
