This is a Creamsheen formulation from MAC Cosmetics. That is by far my favourite formulation of MAC lipsticks. They always have the best pigmentation and are really comfortable on the lips. This colour is a pale orange, really on trend for this season and easier to wear than some of the super bright orange looks that are out there!
Another formulation that I love are the Rouge in Love lipsticks by Lancome. They have three categories (B-Bright, M-Neutral/light tone and N-Vampy, deep, heavy pigmented) They all have this creamy texture that leaves the lips feeling hydrated but still light and not like you're wearing a pound of lipstick. This colour is perfect for Spring (it is part of the Bright category).
I am seeing a trend of creamy lipsticks. It is my favourite type of formulation. I enjoy the Smashbox Be Legendary lipsticks because the texture reminds me of the MAC creamsheens. This light blue-toned pink is the best type of "nude" lip for me that doesn't make me look dead. It works well for spring because it looks very fresh.
This has a similar look to the Posy Pink by Smashbox except it is a bit darker and Matte. I enjoy these balms because they don't dry out your lips like a traditional matte lip product does. They have really great colour selection and a nice minty smell. Revlon is stepping up their lip-product game!
Lastly is from Shiseido. I don't hear as much hype about their products but they honestly have a fabulous colour cosmetics line. These lipsticks are no exception. They have a small bullet that forms beautifully around the lips and glides on with a high pigment load. They have a stunning compact and a nice selection of colours.
