For those of your that haven't heard of the awesome Canadian brand Reversa, let me kindly remove you from the rock that you have been living under ;). Now something that I adore about this brand is that it is actually manufactured by a Pharmaceutical company; (A common theme for Canadian derm brands i.e. Neostrata = Sanofi & Jouviance = Sosen but formulated by Dermatologists).

Now let's discuss this specific release. This product contains an 8% glycolic. Something that I adore is a good chemical exfoliant. It is listed that starting in your 20's you should incorporate a glycolic somewhere in your routine to maintain a healthy glow. For those that do not know, a glycolic is an AHA exfoliant that will gently remove any dead skin or build up. This helps to diminish fine lines and also gives you a clear radiant complexion. It is very safe for sensitive skins, as long as you aren't using something over an 8% (unless you have worked your way past it). A lot of brands that have glycolic love to exclude the actual percentage. It is really important for a brand to list it, that is something I love with Reversa. They always tell you what you are getting in the product, no hidden tricks or lies. Anyways, now that my little ramble is done, let's get into the review!

Price: $45
Size: 50 ml
Where to buy: Shoppers Drug Mart (also Jean Coutu & other pharmacy locations in Canada)

This particular cream comes with an SPF of 30, which in itself is an anti-aging/age prevention ingredient. The texture of the cream is thicker than what I would normally go for, so oilier skin-types might need to keep this in mind. It doesn't have any added perfume, but you do smell that traditional "sun-screen" scent. Once the cream absorbs into the skin, you will feel a slight slip to the skin. Those with a very dry skin-type will highly appreciate this.

The packaging of the product is very pretty. It is very clean, and gives you all the product information clearly on the front of the bottle. Also the little sun is cute, because it gives you that instant identification that this cream is for day-time use only!

Overall I am impressed with the product, as it is great value at $45! You are getting your high end facial sunscreen, but also an anti-wrinkle cream. To me, this is like getting two products in one. I would be a little weary of recommending this to an oily skin-type. For that, I would refer to some of Reversa's other glycolic based products to achieve the similar radiant results. Dry skin, that is looking to slough off some dead skin while keeping the fresh skin safe from the sun's harmful rays will have to look no further! Reversa's Anti-Wrinkle SPF 30 cream will be your new best friend.

What do you guys think about glycolic/AHA based products? Are you willing to ditch the beads in favour of a safe way to achieve glowing skin?

Thanks for stopping by & Until next time,

Amye89 xoxo
