Hydration: Vichy's Aqualia Thermal Additions

A couple new friends are joining the already popular Aqualia Thermal line from Vichy. Read more to find out about the newest additions!

The Story

Now being a dry skin girl means that Vichy Aqualia products have always been something I rotate in and out of my skincare regime. With the winter months coming up, this is more critical than ever! I was so excited when I saw they they where launching two new amazing products to the range, I am happy to share them with you.

The idea behind the Aqualia line is the dynamic hydration. What this basically means is that products from the range are designed to distribute the water evenly all over the applied areas, so it helps deter from dry patches on the skin.

Now one of these products might be a bit new to some people.  The boosting essence idea stems from Asian based skincare, it was something I had seen years ago when I would visit the Asian beauty stores. The idea is that it penetrates deeper into the skin and helps to boost the efficacy of any product applied on top. It preps the skin for your serums and moisturizers. I do believe that it is a very effective step, but it is a harder sell for people that are now just getting used to serums!

The Swatches

The Verdict

I would say that both products are great buys for those who are struggling with dryer skin. The essence can even work beautifully for oily skin since it is so light and can be layered under something that is meant to keep skin matte. I would more so use the eye balm at night (even though it says 'awakening' on the package). I just feel that the texture is too much to makeup application right after.

Have you guys heard of Essence's before? Would you be willing to add another step to your routine?

Until next time!
