The Story
The Brow Beater (which ps. love the name), is designed for giving a more defined arch. It has a waterproof formula, in a retractable packaging so no need for a sharpener! The other side also features a mascara wand with no product, to help you place brows and also remove excess product in areas you went a little heavy handed! They are made in 4 shades and comes in at the cost of $24 and can be found at select Shoppers Drug Mart locations and Sephora's.
Brow Tamer is a flexible hold brow gel. It is designed after the days when models would spray a toothbrush with hairspray and apply to un-ruley brows! (you can also use this trick for your baby hairs when you put your hair up in a sleek pony/bun). They claim to have a soft and never crunchy feeling. They have a clear formula plus 4 matching shades of the Brow Beater. The Brow Tamer comes in at $24 and can be found at the same locations as listed above!

The Verdict
So the first option is just the pencil, like I mentioned before I prefer using multiple products. However, I found this did apply well, it didn't lay down TOO much product which for me was a pain since I had to build it up. For someone with a brow colour to start with, this might be a great bonus because a lot of us can be heavy handed when it comes to brow application with a pencil.
Second is the pencil+tinted gel. This is by far my favourite, and the combo that I would use on a daily (every so often adding some red eyeshadow to add some depth/warmth). I like the shape the pencil gave, and the way the gel picks up the hair and adds an extra dimension is great. It didn't dry down sticky or crunchy.
Third option happens to be my second favourite. It is just the tinted gel. Really easy and when I am really pinched for time, I can just put this on and run out the door. Hold is nice, and doesn't leave the brows looking stiff and as if they have product on them.
Least favourite is pencil+the clear gel. I found that the clear gel moved around the pencil and caused me to lose the definition that I had created. I think this is best suited for someone with full brows and just need a high quality gel to place the hairs.
What do you guys think about using multiple brow products? Do you have a favourite brow routine?
Until next time,
