Overview
So I had a chance to attend the artistry school for Smashbox. I was able to check out some of the newest launches that they have coming up for Fall. Most of these items are available or will be very soon at your local counter/Sephora/Shoppers Drug Mart doors! Some will be out later in August (Cherry Smoke Collection). I haven't had a chance to do like hardcore full tests, so these are my initial thoughts and a little information on the products that are coming up in the launch. Enjoy!

Okay, so I was excited when I heard about this. After actually getting to play around with this, has made me even more excited!! It is like Benefit's Porefessional in texture, but with some added benefits of peptides that will help to reduce the appearance of pores over time. Now my actual person opinion is that pores cannot be reduced over time, they can be cleaned out thus creating the appearance of smaller pores, but you can't actually shrink them. This does have some fruity acid ingredients in it, so that might be what would actually shrink pores over time. That being said, the texture of this is TO DIE FOR! It's like every "blur" product on the market, and Porefessional had a baby. You guys need to get out to your local stores and try this on ASAP.

Lip stain/lacquers are all the rage right now (I will be doing an overview on this shortly), and I enjoy Smashbox products so I really wanted to see their take on it. I am not 100% sure I adore it. I mean the pigment is amazing and it feels so comfortable on the lips however they used O-Glow (a self adjusting blush that turns a vivid pink with the heat of your skin), and because of this, it leaves a noticeable pink staining to the lips. It also tends to change the colour of the light coloured lips, to run very pink. It only occurs of certain people, because it is the low amount of O-Glow that they warn some people are affected by. Just make sure to try the colour on your lips, walk around for a little bit before making a choice. It is also not transfer resistant, but it doesn't feel tacky. It has it's pro's and con's, similar to any other lip product on the market. Still overall it's worth checking out.

In the photo above you can sort of see the applicator and how it is shaped. It is really nice because it picked up the perfect amount of product with the end in a little "well" shaped applicator. I found I didn't have to dip back into the container to get extra product, and I didn't end up with it being a gloopy mess. So well done on packaging!

Always Sharp Lip Liner *

Who doesn't love a good lip liner, amiright? So basically this colour is pretty boring, but I promise that the collection of liners that they have coming out is amazing. So many pretty colours, I basically want them all (but what else is new right?). So these have the self sharpen lids that you just have to twist to open, and the sharpener is in the lid. BIG NOTE OF CAUTION: With the Always Sharp brand of liners or lip liners, you need to ensure that you are NOT closing them all the way each use, because you are just sharpening it and wasting product. What I like to do is just twist it back on but only like halfway to keep the product from not drying out, but avoiding sharpening off product that I want on my face! That is my only major pet peeve with this. Really cool concept, but it becomes a pain in the arse for everyday use. They are labeled water resistant, but I found that the creamy textured pencils are closer to the waterproof end of things.

This collection is SUPER pretty, and I adore the perdy lip colours, and the palette in this is pretty much stunning. I love how they took the two main shades that people use and made it larger, because we all know how much it sucks when you run out of the highlight and main lid shade in a palette. Smart Smashbox!
This is the Full Exposure Mini palette. It is about the size of a credit card, and houses the 8 most popular shades from the mama Full Exposure palette. I mean this is pretty much the best idea of life! So great for gifts, me, other people, and most importantly...me. It is going to only be $25CND!! These are going to fly off the shelves!
